Karpos Municipality promoted the first commercial low energy building, constructed by company "VENS Engineering". High energy standards are incorporated in already built building, making it first candidate to receive an "energy passport" A-category according to the EU categorization.
The Municipality of Kriva Palanka will introduce energy efficient lighting in institutions and public spaces and will implement additional measures to improve energy efficiency, thus protecting the environment.
Training for the position of Energy Managers and Climate Administrator for ExCITE software was held in mid November 2011. Representatives from Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning, Energy Agency and regional municipal offices were educated how to use the data in the software for future development of policy documents in the area of energy efficiency.
From an old house, the kindergarten Srnicka - Kalinka, in Aerodrom Municipality will become the first completely energy efficient kindergarten in the country, after the implementation of the pilot project supported by UNDP that commenced yesterday.
In September 2011 a three day study-visit in Czech Republic was organized by the Energy Efficiency project for representatives of national institutions, academia, private and financial sector to demonstration objects and relevant stakeholders.
External Climate and Inventory Tool for Energy efficiency application is software that can be used for the purpose of continuous energy monitoring on local level. This is a first tool that can be served as link between the central and local government and can be used by the municipalities to fulfill the obligations of the new Law on energy.
Many people love to decorate during the holidays with

A memorandum of understanding was signed between UNDP and Toplifikacija AD-Skopje for exchange of relevant data related to electricity and energy consumption of public buildings. This data will enable municipalities to better monitor and optimize the amount of energy consumption of public buildings.

A new project titled “Mitigating Climate Change through Improving Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings” has just been launched and will be implemented in the next two years implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, with the financial support of the Austrian Development Agency.
Minister of Environment and Physical Planning, Mr. Nexhati Jakupiand UNDP Resident Representative a.i. Ms. Ann-Marie Ali, signed Friday the new Energy Efficiency Project, officially titled “Mitigating of Climate Change through Improvement of the energy Efficiency in the Building Sector”.
