Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning (Implementing Agency)

The Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning is a focal point for the UN Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol and thus is one of the main stkeholders of the project "Mitigating climate   change through improving energy efficiency in building sector".

 

 

 


Austrian Development  Cooperation (donor)

Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) supports countries in Africa, Asia and Central America as well as in South-Eastern Europe in their sustainable social, economic and democratic development. The Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs (MFA) plans the strategies and programmes and the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) implements these together with public institutions, non-governmental organizations and enterprises.

 

 


Ministry of Economy

As governmental institution responsible for development and implementation of energy policies and laws, the Ministry of Economy is one of the main stakeholders of the project "Mitigating climate   change through improving energy efficiency in building sector".

 

 

 


 

Energy Agency of the Republic of Macedonia (MEA)

MEA is direct beneficiary of the project "Enabling the Environment for Introducing Energy Efficiency in Buildings in the Republic of  Macedonia". Building and strengthening of the capacities of the relevant institutions, mainly the Macedonian Energy Agency (MEA), for the implementation of energy efficiency regulations is one of the project goals. The mission of the Energy Agency in Macedonia - AERM is to support the implementation of energy policy of the Government through preparation of energy strategies, development plans and programs, with particular emphasis on energy efficiency (EE) and the use of renewable energy sources (RES).

 

 


Association of the Units of Local Self Government (ZELS)

According to the Law on Self Government, responsibilities from the central government transfer to municipalities in key aspects related to monitoring, inspection and enforcement regarding their areas of competenceshe.The Association of the Units of Local Self Government was formed with overall mission to advance the principles of local governance through the following activities:promoting and encouraging mutual cooperation and information sharing among its members; serving as a lobby group and acting as an advisory body to the central government in the arena of local government; establishing relations with national and international associations of local authorities; promoting continuous and constructive cooperation between the local governments and the state authorities; organizing training and conference opportunities to its members.


Austrian Energy  Agency (AEA)

The AEA is implementing institution of the Energy Efficiency Programme. The AEA will organize and implement a series of study tours for MEA staff (and possibly other project partners involved) to sights and institutions professed with energy efficiency and renewables. The participants will get a broad overview of the activities of the Austrian Energy Agency, about their responsibilities, the legal status and the involvement in the development of measures that should lead to a rational use of energy in Austria. Know how exchange between MEA and AEA will be the central topic of this work shop within the study tour.Internships at the AEA would enhance the overall operational capacity by passing on procedures which have been learnt.

 


 

Austrian Development Agency

Austrian Development Agency(ADA) is the Operational Unit of the Austrian Development Cooperation. It is in charge of implementing all bilateral programmes and projects in ADC's partner countries and administers the budget earmarked for this. Another focus of ADAs operations is education and information in Austria to convey the issue of development cooperation to a broader public.
